Karzai’s headgear 
I could not contain my laughter when I saw Hamid Karzai’s headgear (Crescent cover, 04-09). I mean, what is with Karzai’s “quarter of a turban?”
Don’t tell me that it is a traditional Afghan headdress. Can Karzai get any more ridiculous? Perhaps unintended, it shows to the world that he is in fact only one-quarter Afghan. The other three-quarter must surely be Yankee doodle!
