Until March 4 Herbert Pundik was known as a Danish journalist but his revelation that he worked as Mossad agent will now overshadow his former image. In an interview with the Danish daily, Pundik admitted that he used his journalistic cover to spy for Mossad in Africa. In an attempt to justify his unconscionable act, Pundik equated journalism with espionage and said: “where is the boundary between espionage and journalism? For example, I wrote a detailed analysis of the tribes in Somalia and their attitude toward political parties; I investigated the political situation in northern Nigeria. These were things that the newspaper was also interested in.”
The zionist regime routinely uses the European citizenship of its agents. This applies not only to the recent assassination of Hamas leader Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai (January 20), but dates back much earlier.
Another revealing fact about Pundik’s admission as a Mossad agent is that the Danish authorities have shown no interest in charging him for spying for a foreign entity. If any Muslim journalist, for instance, had used his European citizenship and journalistic cover to spy for a Muslim country he/she would be immediately accused of terrorism and imprisoned. Additionally, Muslims living in that country as well as in other western countries would be branded as untrustworthy and traitors. The fact that European governments deliberately ignore Mossad’s use of their passports and citizens for criminal activities highlights their hypocrisy and the tight relationship with the zionist occupiers of Palestine.
The fact that Politiken, the newspaper where Pundik worked, turned into a highly profitable business during his career might also suggest that the newspaper was bankrolled by Mossad. This cannot be ruled out completely since both Israel and the US use media outlets to amplify their propaganda and provide cover for their crimes.
Given Mossad’s systematic crimes against Muslims, one cannot rule out that it was Mossad that instigated the publication of insulting caricatures of Prophet Mohammed (saws) in Danish newspapers in order to disrupt relations between Muslims and Denmark. If Mossad can recruit one Danish journalist, why would it not recruit others?
The brazen use of media as an instrument of war by the US and its allies carries an unprecedented risk for journalists. Organizations that are quick to condemn states that periodically are forced to detain journalists for suspicious activities remain silent when journalists indulge in spying for western governments or the zionist entity. The increasing use of journalists for sabotage and espionage by governments points to a dangerous trend in global affairs.
